SCGA AMATEUR QUALIFYING AND CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

121st SCGA AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP:

Goose Creek GC, Jurupa Valley

72 holes, stroke play.

August 17 - 20, 2020

FORMAT:

84 players will play two rounds.

Monday, August 17:  Round 1 (18 holes stroke play).

Tuesday, August 18: Round 2 (18 holes stroke play). Following the second round, the field will be cut to the low 42 scores (and ties)

Wednesday, August 19: Round 3 (18 holes stroke play)

Thursday, August 20: Round 4 (18 holes stroke play)

 

All non-exempt players will participate in an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round. 84 players, including exempts, will advance to the championship.

Thursday, July 9:  Oak Valley GC, Beaumont

Monday, July 13:  Shadowridge GC, Vista

Tuesday, July, 14:  Goose Creek GC, Jurupa Valley

Wednesday, July 15:  Rustic Canyon GC, Moorpark

Tuesday, July 21:  Brookside GC (Course #1), Pasadena

Tuesday, July, 21:  Singing Hills GR at Sycuan (Oak Glen), El Cajon

Wednesday, July 22:  Arroyo Trabuco GC, Mission Viejo

 

NOTE:  Players may only attempt to qualify once.

 

ELIGIBILITY: This championship is open to amateurs who are members of a current SCGA member club with a handicap index of 5.4 or less at the time of registration.

 

ENTRIES OPEN: Monday, May 18, 2020

 

ENTRY DEADLINE: Sunday, July 5, 2020

 

PLAYER INFORMATION & PAIRINGS:  Complete tournament details, including information about practice rounds, pairings, starting times, and yardages played, will be emailed and posted on scga.org/amateur after entries close.

 

ENTRY FEE: $125

 

LATE ENTRIES:  The SCGA accepts late entries, assuming there is still space available at the given event.  Late entries will be subject to an additional $20 fee and will only be accepted over the phone.

 

REFUND POLICY: Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $10 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event. 

 

EXEMPTIONS:
